Dr. Coker recently completed a Global Health Fellowship where he conducted a study in Kampala, Uganda examining the relationship between air pollution and respiratory symptoms in children. Dr. Coker also recently published a study with collaborators in Africa where they combined low-cost air quality sensors and machine learning algorithms to accurately predict ambient air pollution in Kampala, Uganda, which is the first such air pollution exposure model for Africa that combines these two emerging technologies.
