Dr. Eric Coker published a timely paper on the “Effects of Air Pollution on COVID-19 Related Mortality in Northern Italy” which shows that the spatial pattern of long term ambient (outdoor) fine particulate matter (or PM2.5) concentrations is strongly related to the spatial pattern of excess deaths related to the COVID-19 epidemic in Northern Italy.
