Dr. Kane Leads SHPEP Students in Interactive Learning about Environmental Health

SHPEP 2019 Students!

SHPEP group

The Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) is a FREE summer enrichment program focused on improving access to information and resources for college students interested in the health professions. SHPEP’s goal is to strengthen the academic proficiency and career development of students who are underrepresented in the health professions and prepare them for a successful application and matriculation to health professions schools.

The six-week program takes place on the University of Florida campus, with on-campus room and board. Dr. Andy Kane, a professor with the Department of Environmental and Global Health, led a hands-on-learning experience during the program to educate students about the importance of environmental and global health topics.
