Dr. Eric Coker Awarded UFIC Global Fellowship

The University of Florida International Center awarded Dr. Eric Coker, an EGH professor, a competitive fellowship in the Global Fellows Program. This program promotes and supports faculty conducting research with an international reach. As a fellow, Dr. Coker will be mentored by Dr. Sarah McKune, who has significant experience in conducting international research.

Dr. Coker will travel to Uganda in East Africa in the spring where he will focus on developing international research collaborations with partners in Uganda to address air pollution monitoring and studying health effects of air pollution in the region. This is an opportunity for Dr. Coker to expand on his previous air pollution epidemiology work in Uganda, and assist in developing the first low-cost air monitoring network in sub-Saharan Africa. Congratulations Dr. Coker!
