One Health PhD student, Helena Chapman, receives Student Health Activist Honorable Mention

Each year, HealthBegins and other organizational partners recognize students who have demonstrated passion and achievement in the pursuit of social justice and health equity. EGH PhD student, Helena Chapman, will be awarded a Student Health Activist honorable mention for her work organizing medical students in the Dominican Republic to form Organizacion Dominicana de Estudiantes de Medicina (ODEM). These awards will be presented at the Health Activist Dinner, in conjunction with the 141st annual meeting of the American Public Health Association, in Boston, Massachusetts, on November 3, 2013.
